Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Skan, a product operated by SkanItem.com. By creating an account, accepting an invitation, connecting a store or otherwise using Skan, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the business you represent.

Using Skan

Skan helps businesses manage inventory and warehouse operations, including barcode and stock workflows, locations, picking, packing, dispatch, fulfilment, invoices and approved commerce integrations. You must provide accurate account information, keep login details secure and ensure that each person using Skan is authorised by your business.

Your business data

You retain responsibility for the accuracy, legality and rights required for the data you enter, upload or connect to Skan. You are responsible for reviewing inventory, orders, fulfilments, invoices and operational actions before relying on them in your business. Skan is a software tool and does not provide legal, accounting, tax, financial or business advice.

Shopify and third-party services

You may connect a Shopify store only if you have authority to do so. By connecting it, you authorise Skan to access and process the permissions you approve solely to provide the requested integration features. Shopify and other third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. You may disconnect an integration at any time; disconnecting stops future synchronisation but does not change records already created in Skan.

Acceptable use

You must use Skan lawfully and must not attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with the service, introduce malicious code, circumvent security controls, copy or reverse engineer the service except where law permits, or use Skan to process unlawful content, transactions or personal information.

Availability, changes and support

We work to keep Skan reliable, but maintenance, upgrades, third-party outages and events outside our control can affect availability. We may improve, modify or discontinue features where reasonably necessary. Where a paid plan applies, any fees and payment terms will be presented separately. Intellectual property and feedback

SkanItem.com and its licensors retain all rights in Skan, its software, designs, branding and documentation. Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Skan for your internal business operations. Feedback you provide may be used to improve Skan without obligation to you.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, investigate suspected misuse, comply with law or address non-payment. You may stop using Skan at any time. Clauses that should reasonably continue after termination, including those concerning intellectual property, liability, data obligations and governing law, continue to apply.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Skan is provided on an “as available” basis and SkanItem.com is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including lost profits, revenue, data or business opportunity. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms by publishing an updated version on this page. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. The parties submit to the courts of Victoria and courts entitled to hear appeals from them.
